Public Home   Members Home   Member Log-Out   As of July 29, 2003 there are forty-seven certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs in S.C. and six satellite facilities. The programs are governed by the Joint Committee on Cardiac Rehabilitation, the S.C. Medical Association/American Heart Association, S.C. Affiliate. The role and purpose of the Joint Committee is as follows: Develop and implement a mechanism for certification of cardiac rehabilitation programs in South Carolina Encourage development of new cardiac rehabilitation programs in the state Plan and coordinate the presentation of workshops on cardiac rehabilitation for the purpose of training potential staff members or new programs
